The Elevator Door project involved a comprehensive reverse engineering process for a sheet metal door, which was meticulously recreated in a 3D model using SolidWorks. The subsequent step involved creating manufacturing files in AutoCAD, meticulously preparing the design for laser cutting machines to ensure precision and accuracy in production.
Detailed 2D bending drawings were crafted for the hydraulic bend machine, optimizing the manufacturing process and facilitating seamless production. As a project lead, I closely supervised every stage of manufacturing, including laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, and the final electrostatic painting process.
By meticulously overseeing each step of the manufacturing process and ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards, this project exemplified a blend of technical proficiency, meticulous planning, and hands-on supervision, resulting in the successful fabrication of a critical component for an elevator system.
