Hi Duncan,

I hope all is well.

I appreciate the feedback. I will make sure that contest related fees are clearly noted in contests. Please see FAQ noting 20% contest fees: http://www.cadcrowd.com/page/faq
Note feedback from company:

All of our critical dimensions are correct. The only thing is that the designer drew the casing and motor wider than the frame. But really there were no dimensions for those items, but visually on the image above its narrower. It actual reality either of those items with the vendor drawing we received could be wider (I look at a photo of the pump and in fact the motor is narrower, the casing is ever so slightly wider than the frame but not to the extent shown).

So we cant really blame the vendor for doing so but if it were done in house I would ask for it to be drawn narrower, and I would include a junction box on the one side, again no dimension, just proportionate to the image.

If you have any questions please let me know.

The 2nd design was the "closest" to accurate, even though it wasn&;t fully accurate..

Steven&;s design, the 2nd place getter, is quite clearly a case of "Here&;s something I prepared earlier".
It&;s a completely different pump. Should not have been accepted.
Also, the competition brief was to supply a Model AND a Technical Drawing. No one else has done this.
The prizes stated (and still stated) were $100 for 1st prize and $50 for 2nd, yet I only got $80 for 1st.
I understand that, apparently, the prize was not guaranteed, yet the site still states a $100 1st prize.

. There were some unknowns on the data sheet. The dims for the drive motor, and the diameter of the pump casing. I "eyeballed" them based on other known dims. Also there is little detail give to the foot mount design. I took liberties on these and just made them look good while maintaining proper placement. I hope you like it.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for the submission.

I had some feedback for your design submission; there are some dimensions that aren&;t accurate. The B-dimensions from the face of the nozzle to the center-line of the nozzle are off by a few inches. In other words the frame isn&;t accurate to the body of the pump.

Please check the submission again and feel free to make the edits.

Thanks

I see you require this to be drawn on AutoCAD 2012. I have AutoCAD 2010.
Will it be acceptable for me to supply a 2010 version?
The file can then be opened and saved as a 2012 version.

I&;ll check to see if it has been awarded next Tuesday (first spare time). If not I will finish the design out for you then. It seems you want it for a block library? I can set it up as a block file if you like.

Yes, we require the design to be done with the latest AutoCAD software.

Hey Stephen,
The design should take 3-4 hours to do. I appreciate your interest and I will award the prize money to the first successful design submitted.
Thanks!

I submitted a quick no detail piece just so you can see that I can do this. I simply dont have time to meet your deadline. I might have the time to do it the weekend of the 25th of February. Take a look at my drawing that I spent about 6 minutes on. Give me the time and I will give you a beautiful pump drawing/model.

I would like to do this, but I have a very busy schedule for the next 3 weeks and probably wont have time before the deadline. Is there any way to get an extension?
