About
I use system variables to regulate the functions of specific commands. For example, I can change the settings to show the different statuses of elements of my CAD. In a project I worked on recently, I used two system variables to measure command operations and retrieve information about the configuration of the drawing I was working on and the program's functionality.
I primarily worked within the AutoCAD software to identify and correct corruption issues with drawings and illustrations that team members previously completed. Using additional vertices, the program can find the exact location of the zero-vertex lines and delete them, automating much of my error analysis work during the final design phases.
I have been a CAD designer since I was trained on CADAM in 2018. My role during this period was to design parts and assemblies for mechanical handling systems. I designed parts for an automatic loader for use in military equipment. I was trained on another CAD system called CGS for GM in Detroit. I designed parts for mid size car bodies and worked at Porsche helping design parts for the new Opel Zafira. I trained on Catia V4 and worked on various automotive projects in Germany and the UK. I have been using Catia V5 in various roles in Airbus, Mercedes, Scania and now Volvo designing a variety of engineering parts related to those industries.
In short a CAD designer’s job is to design engineering components to suit whatever the project entails hopefully ensuring those parts can be made as cheaply as possible while still fullfilling their design function.
