Lew Waldman has a BSME from Northwestern and an MS and PhD from UCSD. He has deep experience in both industry and academics as a mechanical and biomedical engineer, and he also likes design projects such as CAD including 3D modeling and accompanying technical drawing. Lew has consulted on medical device design and analysis for large companies and startups including Boston Scientific, Thoratec and St. Jude Medical, now Abbott. He has focused on cardiac and ocular devices but has also worked on the design of nuclear reactors.
