About
My design journey over the years has taken me from a textile librarian to creating funky rooms for children on HGTV to designing and implementing rooms and homes for IKEA stores across the US.
I have worked for almost 20 years as an interior designer, have designed over 75 rooms and several small space homes, and am still hungry for more design!
A well designed space should reflect the people who live there, fitting their lives both beautifully and functionally. It should be timeless but also open to change and evolve, just as the people who live in the space change and evolve.
I embrace culture and eclectic ideas, which shows in my designs. My style is modern while keeping a hand on the door to the past, creating eclectic and beautifully coordinated designs for living.

Part of a team that designed room setting and homes for IKEA stores across the US. Staying hungry for interior design and on trend was key to this role.
Using a combination of programs (Autocad, SketchUP, Power Point, and Excel), details of our designed and curated rooms are specified to ensure that a team of contractors, carpenters, seamstresses and interior stagers can completely put a room together--even when I wasn't present.

In both College Park, MD, and Brooklyn, NY, I was part of a team of designers that implemented and maintained the room settings in the IKEA stores. Rooms needed to be updated depending on product changes and trends, or redesigned during certain times of year like holidays, etc. Autocad was used to create contractor level detail drawings of installation packages for rooms and homes.

I was a guest designer for 6 episodes of a children's design show called Kidspace on HGTV. Met with families and took their plain-Jane children's rooms and gave them their dream rooms or play spaces. Creating these spaces had to be playful, functional, under $1000.00, and enticing for television viewers.
Created layouts and elevations using Autocad and collages. Staying in contact with a design assistant, a model builder, a show director, and a carpenter to ensure that we were on time and on budget was imperative to the job.
No family was ever left disappointed!
