Shoe Shine Box
I am looking to have a ShoeShine Box Designed. This project is unique in that I am not providing any specs for the box size and design. I am providing you with the products that will be in the ShineBox and several features that need to be incorporated into the design.
I require a 3D renderings of the design. The renderings need to show the final design from all sides. Keep in mind, this is a product that will be manufactured.
This design requires out of the box thinking. While the Shinebox needs to be functional and sturdy, I need to really emphasize the importance of the look and design of the box.
I want it to be a functional piece of art. Just imagine Apple creating a ShineBox.
I want the design to be as compact as it can be and still incorporate the required products and features.
I am open to any material, except wood. I was thinking steel or brushed aluminum design.
The required features:
1)The ShineBox will need to have a plate that can be turned 360 degrees and quickly locked into place. Users will put their shoes on the plate to clean them.
2) The cleaning products will be liquid and the liquid will be applied and used with the shoe brush (see attached picture). The liquid will need a rectangular box, bigger than the brush, to hold a couple ounces of cleaner. The rectangular holder needs to be easily removed for cleaning.
3) A carrying handle. I want the carrying handle disguised so as not to be seen when not in use.
Here are the cleaning products that will be in the ShineBox (pictures are attached).
1) 4 - 6 oz. Boston Round Glass Bottles
Height 5", Diameter 2.1"
2) 3 Shoe Brushes - Length 3 1/4",
Width 1", Height 1 1/4"
3) 1 Mid Sole Brush - Length 5 1/2", Width
1/2", Height 1"
4) 1 Suede Bar - Length 3", Width 1",
Height 1".
5) a 12" x 12" Micro Fibre towel. This can obviously folded to fit into a smaller space.
I don't care what software is used, but I do want a hyper-realistic 3D rendering.
The Mother Load
Hi talented designers –
I need your help turning my idea into a more professional prototype. I would like to design a cushion or chair support to help women who have just delivered a baby naturally to sit and rest in a chair more comfortably. Sitting in a traditional chair is very painful because the new mom’s entire rear end is healing.
An ideal design would enable a woman to rest or sit without having contact on any part of her rear end. Ideally it would be adjustable to fit in most chairs, it would be especially helpful for driving or riding in a car. It also should be something with simple lines that can be mass produced for a reasonable cost.
I have a homemade prototype of a support, which works okay, but it needs your help! I will also attach a picture of a booster seat with a design that I really like for reference. A larger version of this booster seat, but with the cushion part of the seat modified, might do the trick! Of course I welcome any other creative designs that you might have.
Having a newborn is so exhausting and having a comfortable seat that keeps pressure off of parts that are healing would be a great relief! Future moms will thank you for your creative ideas and wonderful designs!
Please let me know if you have questions. I am relying on you for recommendations as to software and materials.
Modeling & Graphic Design for a Modern Landfill
We are looking for some one to design a complete landfill for use on our Tradeshow booth. We are looking for someone who can layout the entire site. From the waste cell to the roads, to the working face of the landfill and Leachate systems, liners etc. We would also like to incorporate our equipment and products into the design. This is mostly for Leachate. What we are attempting to do is show how to Waste Companies can handle their leachate to save money.
There are 3 steps to this process.
The first is minimization. We have developed a spray on solution that will repel water from the side slopes of the landfill and on the flat top of the landfill. Ideally we show a rain cloud raining down on the side of the landfill here and then we can have our graphic artists do bubbles on the rendering showing where that product is used.
The second part we do is pre-treatment. We have designed a system that can process and clean the leachate. The leachate is pumped from the bottom of the landfill to holding tanks where we clean it from there it goes to Leachate ponds where our Evaporation Misting Equipment evaporates the water. We also have the leachate evaporated inside buildings.
Ideally we want to show the daily operations of a landfill and where all of our products are used on that landfill. Visiting our website will give you a very in-depth look at what we do
Attached are some samples of how landfills have been rendered in the past as well as a top view of a modern landfill in California. Also included is a aerial photo of a landfill cell being built with liner and a side view of all the layers that go into a landfill. If you have any questions or need more details please leave note
This image will be blown up to fit a booth that is 5'6" high and 113" wide
Designing a Business-Oriented Conceptualization tool: a 3D Cube to visualize market segments
We have designed a conceptualization tool using Powerpoint, which consists in a cube representing market segments and how a brand positions itself across these segments. Each of the 3 dimensions of the cube represents a way of segmenting markets (for instance geography, products, customers). The cube breaks down into many different smaller blocks along the intersection of each segmentation criterion. In other words, each smaller block (defined by a combination of product, consumer and geography) represents a specific market segment.
Additionally, we have drafted a “cube within a cube” approach: you can zoom in on 1 specific geography and get a second cube, which will show market segments along three axes (product, customer and a new one: distribution channel). The design should integrate this “cube within a cube logic”. Please refer to the uploaded screens to better grasp what it means visually.
The deliverable produced by the designer(s) using CAD will be used extensively by non-experts to build presentation-ready visuals in a business-oriented environment.
The deliverable must meet the following requirements:
- Possibility to highlight different segments with multiple colors in a flexible and user-friendly way
- Possibility to visualize the cube from different angles
- Possibility to easily change the labels of the different axes
You can refer to the uploaded screenshots to better understand what the deliverable will look like.
Important: we advise designers to focus on designing only a few visuals at first: slides A,B,E,F,G & 1 to limit the time they will have to dedicate to compete. As a second step, we will select one or two designers to produce the final deliverables, giving them extra context and information.
After the contest is over, the winner may be proposed additional jobs around the project, in exchange for a competitive compensation.
Keycap Design-Creativity and CAD skill needed
Hello
I am looking for someone to design something for me, and possibly cast it in resin or other materials for me.
For the designing part, you need to know how to model something in CAD and have a file that can be 3D printed. What you are designing requires creativity, and is a mix of art and practicality. What I am looking for is someone who can make a keycap for mechanical keyboards. At the end is some examples of competitors work, so you can get a feel for what I'm looking for. I am looking for original designs that are extremely creative.
As for the next steps, I need someone who can make a mold of a 3D printed prototype, and then cast it in resin. For the resin casting, it has to be 1:1 or very close to 1:1 as the final product requires very fine detail and dimensions to properly fit. I am looking for different and fancy colors.
If you just know how to use CAD, that's fine, I'll hire you for just that part. If you just know how to cast pieces, that's also fine, and please message me with details.
If you just know CAD, then I will pay $300 for a creative design in a 3D printable file format.
If you know how to cast resin, then for the initial run, I am looking to purchase 20 each of up to 5 different colors of the same design, for 100 total units. For the units, I will pay $5 per, or $500 for 100 units. If I like the quality, then I will hire you again for many, many more projects.
Here are some examples of what competitors are making, I am looking for something generally similar, but original and creative designs.

$300 will be awarded to the best 3D design, and $200 will be awarded to the second best 3D design.
If you can cast the design in resin, please let me know and we will do the order separately.
