Hi JazzJazz,

I have one question for you. Do we need to use www.indiegogo.com/projects/buddy-your-family-s-companion-robot/x/11984391 as base design for creating the new robot for you according to your specs. It seems that most of the designs presented keep same basic design structure and just change the face design. Is that what you are looking for. Perhaps I missed something from the project brief.

Thanks Pablo

Dear Designers,

Thank you for your submissions. To allow for refined or better designs to come in, we have extended the contest for 4 more weeks. Please note the following when creating your designs:

1) There should be 2 interchangeable modules for the face. One with the screen and one shaped like a tiger's face with led light that shines when the robot speaks

2) Tiger's face module should be more 3D with curvature as oppose to flat face like the screen module

I will reach out to you separately to comment on your designs.

Warmest,

Jasmine

Hi dear designers,

Jasmine wasn't satisfied with any of the entries, so she extended the contest with 4 weeks. She will make a detailed note about the required changes to each of your designs.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Tkanks,
Lucian

Hi Luka,
it is useless to talk to me like that, if my design is superior and I spend a week working on it you will not influence your word with the decision of paying your method is known! I never allowed myself to tell someone you submitted to,
People often ask me to revise my drawing and I can prove it in all the competitions we exchange by skype! you understand ? I work
Mon, 05 Oct 2015 13:32:21 +0000
If a revision for you means adding an extra feature like an extruded boss or extruded cut to a model, than I could probably submit 100 entries for every competition. Don't take it personal, this is just my opinion and it doesn't matter if it's you or anyone else, I just don't see the point of submitting 10 entries for every single competition when the models that you upload are nearly the same.

Hi Luka,
It's revisions every time I improve my drawing how it bothers you?

Sun, 04 Oct 2015 20:30:27 +0000
REDA, I don't understand why do you need to upload the same model 7 times where you only put on different renderings? That literally is CAD spamming. You can attach different renderings in a single submit.

Hi ahchap, Thanks for the question. Ideally it would be good to include the design of the electronic board however if that is not your specialty we will judge the contest 1st and foremost by the exterior design of the robot so if that is where your talent is, you still have a high chance of winning if your exterior design is superior =)
Mon, 14 Sep 2015 10:11:23 +0000
Are you expecting to design the electronic board as well?
This will include the electronic components?

Hi Ohms, thanks for the question. Just the circuit design without software. We will hire separately for the software.
Sat, 12 Sep 2015 01:54:46 +0000
For the electronics part, are you expecting a source code for the communication between all the sensors, microcontroller, motors, and touch screen? Or just a circuit design without any software?

Hotel Butler Robot
I am looking for an industrial design of a hotel butler robot with manufacturing specification. I would like an interchangeable face module - 1 with the mascot as the face, another with a screen as the face. Additionally the robot needs to have an interchangeable stand to make it taller like the Double ipad stand. http://www.doublerobotics.com/ Here are some of the specs the robot needs to possess so you can factor it into the design: Size: 56 x 35 x 35 cm Weight: 5-8kg with the majority of the weight at the bottom of the robot Exterior Components: • Rechargeable battery pad/station Interchangeable Modules: • Butler face head • Screen face head • Stand (Double Like) to extend height http://www.doublerobotics.com/ Internal Component: • 1080HD w night vision camera • 2W speaker with 22mm diaphragm • 1 microphone • 1HDMI output • 1USB output • 1SD card slot • Range finder sensors • Ground detection sensors • Object Detection sensors • 4 motors feedback control • Head rotation 2 Axes: 1st +/- 90°, 2nd +80°/-60° • Base Movement 360° (2 drive wheels, 3rd support wheel) • Electrical Rechargeable Battery • Wifi & SIM Card Deliverable: 1) Butler Robot looking mostly like the attached mascot with an interchangeable screen module and rechargeable pad design 2) Adjustable height stand – see Double for reference 3) Video showing its movement and interchangeable module in order to show to the client 4) Manufacturing specifications
Backyard swimming pool lazy river machine, swim system
WANTED: Talented industrial designers to help skin a device designed to create a river-like current for backyard pools. This contest is to design the skins/covers only. The product mounts to existing pool decking (stone, concrete, etc) with four bolts with a bulk of the machine beneath the water-line. The minimum surface area is defined in the attached model, but we're looking for creative variations around the same footprint. Designed to be both a recreational and fitness oriented product, you have a creative license to shape the future of this innovative product. As a minimum, the 'Top Shroud' must be independently removable from the entire unit. The other skins can separate or be formed into a single body. Submission File Type: Solidworks, .STP, IGS., IGES., .x_t, .dwg If adding renderings as a submission, please use examples on page 3 of contest guidelines. Please ask if other file types are acceptable. There are samples of similar swim jet units in the attachments. Not-For-Profit School Playground & Landscape 3D Illustrated Presentation

Enclosure design for a building automation product
Our company is looking for enclosure designs for a set of 3 PCB modules which can connect together to form one single product. Our chosen manufacturer uses folded plastic sheet, although design ideas do not need to be limited to this process. The main board can feature as a standalone product but in many cases will be connected with the HV and I/O submodule boards, in which case they need to form a single product. There should be a lock-in mechanism on the side panels of the main enclosure to allow connection with HV board and I/O board. The Main board will have an LED panel illuminating the company logo (which will change colours based on the product status). Each individual enclosure should be DIN rail mountable. The top and bottom inputs and outputs modules on each board should be exposed so that appropriate connections can be made without opening the box. The way the three modules assemble together into one product should be similar to this: http://sie.ag/1E7emGo Beyond the technical specifications we are looking for a fresh design to take away the feel of an industrial product and make this looks more like a consumer product. We are looking for something sleek and fresh with the look and feel of a quality product.
Open Air Photo Booth
To design an "open-air" photo booth that is modern and clean in appearance as well as minimal and compact in function. The design can either be modular or as one piece but absolutely must be light weight, very durable and very portable. In terms of appearance, think apple products such as the ipad, imac, etc. If the design is modular, there will need to be cases designed to go along with the pieces or the modules must fit in commonly available cases. In terms of materials, I am open to any and everything but again, they most be light, strong, durable, not show a lot of wear and not too expensive to work with. Wants: All designs must incorporate these necessary components: - A Ring Flash (10" diameter, 9.5" depth, weighs aprx. 5lbs) Photo attached - A DyeSub Printer (10.7" W, 6.6" H, 13.3" D, weight 24 lbs.) Photo attached - An Ipad or touchscreen monitor of similar size - A secondary monitor any size from 10"-19" - A Mac Mini (7.7" W, 1.4" H, 7.7" D, 2.7 llbs) - A second ipad For the camera element / user interface, the ring flash and one ipad/touchscreen monitor must be facing the customer and combined into one module/unit. (The actual DSLR camera mounts to the ring flash with the lens sitting in the center of the ring flash.) This unit would also house the Mac mini and possibly the secondary monitor. The mac mini should be hidden from view. The secondary monitor can be on the side or back of the camera module but in full view to the customer. The lens of the camera will need to sit at 43" from the ground (at it's lowest setting) and be able to be raised to 53" and 58" off the ground (at its highest setting.) This can be an adjustable height mechanism that allows for any height desired in between those specs or by using 2-3 different length adjustments that can be interchanged. It must be on a stable design that will not easily be tipped over. There will need to be a hidden door/access in order to power on the internal components, adjust camera settings, etc. For the printer, it can be housed in the same unit as the camera but if you decide to go this route, the entire unit must be as small and light weight as possible. Otherwise, if you go the modular route, it can be in it's own module or combined with the secondary ipad into it's own module. The printer must be at least 22" off of the ground when being used. The printer is the most delicate of all components so where ever it's placed, it absolutely must be secured and safe from being knocked over. It also must be easily accessed from the front since it has a sliding drawer that opens when the paper and ink are changed. The printer has to be physically tethered via usb cable to the mac mini, so keep that in mind. The secondary ipad's purpose is for customers to be able to use and interact with it. It will need to be at a comfortable height for the average adult user. It can be paired with the printer or if with the camera, the camera module must be 100% stable and able to take the abuse from customers using the ipad without affecting the front components. With all of these components, they need to look seamless. No hinges or screws or other hardware or cables visible. Ideally the entire set up would be primarily white with accents of red and/or aluminum. Very clean, very modern, very simple. It's imperative that the design can withstand countless drunk customers, be very stable, not get damaged or scratched (beyond repair) and all break-down/packed up to easily fit into the trunk/boot of a mid-sized car. It can pack down to one easily transportable case or 3 modules maximum. If one, it must be easy and secure to move, ideally with wheels. These components will be set up in all sorts of different locations from private residences, ballrooms, lobbies, back yards, etc. hence the reason it needs to be light weight, compact and durable as well as adjustable. I have attached a pdf showcasing several different versions of "open-air" photo booths to give you some ideas of what's being done and how much of it could be improved upon.
