@commcap, any news yet?

The tab has changed from "choosing a winner" to "ended" . So has this ended without a winner? The buyer hasn&;t been active since the 9th Nov ! Apologies if you are just taking your time.

hey cadgeek- everyone here is well aware that this wasn&;t a prepaid/guaranteed contest, but we all submitted designs anyways. I wouldn&;t jump to conclusions so fast thinking the buyer has plans to rip off your design. He said he plans to look over the designs over the next few weeks and then decide. And I wouldn&;t worry to much because under &;payment pending&; contests, the buyer can not view the files of the design, they can only see the image. There are many design concepts that look great, but in reality they can not easily be manufactured.
You also need to look at it from the perspective of the buyer as it might be their first time using this platform and they are not sure what to expect from this site. Maybe they are hesitant to kickoff a prepaid project contest and forced to pick a wininning design that they might not like. As a designer we need to be patient and courtesy with potential clients because who knows it could turn out to be a long term working relationship where they have future projects for the designer to do. Your frustration should be with the Cadcrowd platform. That&;s the problem with many of these design contest sites, it leaves many designers out to dry. If you don&;t like it then leave the platform and stick with the freelancer sites.

(To Buyer) Is there an estimated time you can give as to when you&;ll provide an answer?
Designer
so how won ?

If your current design works fine then why are you hosting a contest? You want to talk professionalism you now have wasted 60 or 70 professional cad designer valuable time. I don&;t think you understand how expensive our time is. You hosted a contest and received more than adequate entries and left us out to dry. "Very Professional"
Designer
Prove me wrong then. Pay some money and pick a design.
Designer
Like I care. There&;s no money aways (Payment Pending) I have more than enough work on my plate. My work speaks for itself.
Buyer
@Cad Geek - thank you for showing such excellent professionalism. Your quick accusation that I plan on stealing and using your design is way off. No need to worry, I would never do that. Why would I risk doing that when my current design works just fine. You have shown to me that you would not be a good designer to work with and therefore I will not consider you.
Designer
(For the Buyer) If I see any of my concept designs for this contest being manufactured, I will sue you. Payment Pending is a joke all it does is give the contest host/ buyer an opportunity to steal our designs. I urge all the designers on here to boycott any payment pending contest for here on out.
Buyer
Thank you everyone for your design submissions! Many creative designs were submitted. Over the next few weeks I&;ll try to take a look at all the designs and then choose.
Buyer
@Karan_S_Pannu - thank you, I&;ll take a look

For design # 96 the Rubber Wheel Stoppers is designed so that when the zipper is opened, the rubber is completely flat.
when the zipper opens this is separated into two parts and the rubber is flat

hello, Redouan Elmirou
Your doubt is genuine. But there is nothing written in description that there would be only injection molding done on the product. The buyer can choose any design and can make a basic design by injection molding, and then after, he can opt for skilled workers for detailing. And yes no doubt that the more is the detailing, the more it will become costlier for the buyer to generate the final product.

First of all I&;m not trying to insult anyone I&;m just thinking in the best interest of both parties(buyer and designers).
PLEASE be careful choosing a design because a lot of the designs above simply cannot be produced! And if you take one of these designs to a injection moulder he&;s going to send you back home to redesign the whole thing.. I highly doubt some of these people have any knowledge on how to design a product for injection molding..
some things to look at:
1. Adding texture on the inside of the product is going to give problems when the product is exiting the mold.
2. A straight surface (no release angle) is NEVER coming out of the mold undamaged.
3. Simply think about how the product wil exit the mold.. the mold should be 2 parts.. some products simply cannot get out of the mold..
As for your current design.. I&;m with jessebrown131313 on this. The design looks good and is designed for its manufacturing method. Although I am willing to think about USEFUL designs and I might upload something somewhere in the next few days or you can also contact me personally if you&;re interested.

Hi @Commcap,
The design i submitted contain those parts in both sides , this can help young kids with less strength to easily slip this rubber on over wheels.

@ Mark M - The current version is a stretchable rubber. I&;m not sure what the durometer of it is, but it is softer than the skatboard wheel.
