I'm a mechanical engineer with experience in machine design. 3 years of experience in Solidworks specifically (solid, surface, sheet metal, and weldment). 2 years of experience in Autocad. I make designs for 3d printing (.stl) and drawings for laser cutting (.dxf) and plasma and workshops (lathes, planners,...etc). My skill set includes: -Machine and Product design. -Creating STL, IGES and STEP files for 3d printing and also X_t file for manufacturing. -3D Rendering using Keyshot. -Converting from pdf/sketch/image to DWG/DXF Autocad files. -FEA Analysis using Solidworks simulation and ANSYS Mechanical. -Engineering Drawings. MSc Advanced Materials and Additive Manufacturing (Distinction) BEng Mechanical Engineering For my Masters Thesis project I designed an FDM printer modification, improving machine dynamics. I have in depth knowledge of the FDM process and how to optimise for: print speed, strength, and quality. Prize winner in many online 3D printing and design competitions, winning approximately £2000 worth of prizes in the past three years: Polymaker ‘3D printed hook tournament: Second place. A combination of mechanical engineering, creative design and DfAM to create the strongest possible 3D printed polymer hook (no closed loop) weighing less than 50g. I have held stress signatory status for 8 years, whilst substantiating high integrity, safety critical equipment and structures.
