As a beginner, I enjoy modeling when given specific dimensions to a product. With that, I have also worked on a few projects for people as well as for myself. I would like to start with simple things until I gain good amounts of confidence. Besides CAD, I am also working my way up with software like Ansys Workbench and Blender which also play an important role in designing as a field.
