Hello and thanks for reading my Bio. I'm a mechanical engineer with 2D drafting and 3D modeling experience. My drafting experience include product, prototype and machine design. I design various products for the commercial, medical, marine and industrial sectors. Software that I use are AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, SketchUp, FreeCAD, Keyshot, Meshmixer and 3D builder. I have been placed in multiple positions of responsibility throughout my academic career. I have successfully served my term as Head Prefect in my high school, Al-Falaah college (a school that boasts the highest scoring matric results nationally in the year 2016). I have been a campus tutor for Mathematics, Thermodynamics and Physics and I have been allocated the highest budgeted masters research project in the history of UKZN's Aerospace Systems Research Group (ASReG). I am proficient in Solidworks CAD modelling, Simulation execution (FEA, CFD and topology optimization). My Masters has allowed me to efficiently mathematically model systems in Microsoft Excel, predict motion and analyse trends. I have presented graphical analysis of data to a wide variety of audiences both within and out of the engineering space. I am a part of the Phoenix Hybrid Sounding Rocket launch campaign as a member of the ground support team where I am responsible for the rocket lug design and oxidizer measurement systems.

I am a senior mechanical engineering product designer, specialist in 3D CAD design and FEA of sheet metal and heavy steel fabrication with 16 years of experience. I am passionate about CAD design and analysis, with strong focus on technical documentation and drawing detail accuracy. This includes 3D and 2D fabrication and assembly drawings in Solid Works, Creo (including Windchill) and Inventor (including Vault) as well as considerable FEA experience (Including ANSYS non-linear). I have designed a wide variety of product across many sub disciplines of mechanical engineering (Structures, driveline, suspension, hydraulics, composites… etc.). I have successfully taken many complex projects from concept to production, often reducing complexity and yielding significant cost savings all while complying with the relevant international standards.
