Automated Car floor mat manufacturing facility Automated Solutions Pvt. Ltd. · Part-time Oct 2018 – Dec 2018 2 mos Birmingham, England, United Kingdom It was a part of an Automated Car floor mat production facility: It involves two robotic arms which assist in lifting already cut mat and placing it on another conveyor for next operation. First operation involves Cutting the floor mat into the shape required as per the car for which the mat is being manufactured. Then First robotic arm picks up the mat and places it on second conveyor for gluing operation. Glue spreader which uses rubber cylinders for applying the glue, evenly spread it across the mat surface. This step is followed by second robotic arm which picks up second already cut mat and places it on the glued one using area sensor. The last step involves pressing these two surfaces together with little application of heat so that these two mat surfaces can be attached firmly.
