About

Hello! I'm a current undergraduate student at the University of Cincinnati in the May 2023 class. Much of my professional experiance has been with manufacturing engineering, and I'd like to use that skill set to help others develop their own designs!

Currently I am working with the software FreeCAD as to ensure that everyone I work with has the ability to view and modify the files that I develop with them.

Experience

  • Manufacturing Engineer Advanced Atomization Technologies · Internship Jan 2022 – Aug 2022 7 mos Clyde, NY, United States Worked to improve the manufacturing process for GE jet engine fuel nozzles. Was heavily involved with tool design and manufacturing process development. Main modeling software used was CREO Parametric.
  • Research Assistant University of Cincinnati · Internship Sep 2020 – Jan 2021 4 mos Cincinnati, OH, United States Worked alongside a professor to develop and simulate a supercritical carbon dioxide compressor. Work involved simulating various blade geometries for each stage of the compressor and interpreting the results such that the next design could be improved.
  • Manufacturing Engineer L3 Harris · Internship Jan 2020 – May 2020 4 mos Cincinnati, OH, United States Worked to improve the manufacturing processes with regard to safety, repeatability, and time per part. Main duty was tool design and process refinement. Primary software used was Siemens Solid Edge

Education

  • University of Cincinnati Batchelor, Aerospace Engineering, 3.5 2018 – 2023 Activities and Societies: null

Other experience

  • Ornithopter Design A school project- We were tasked with constructing a popular ornithopter kit and then making design changes in order to increase performance, ease of assembly, cost to manufacture, or any other measurable metric. My solution was to replace the balsa wood components of the kit with thinner, lighter 3D-printed components. Flight time of the ornithopter went from 3 seconds to 10 seconds, and the cost to produce and package the 3D-printed components was significantly cheaper than the original balsa wood.
