My responsibilities included:

• Managing of Fluid Technology projects from design, quotation, manufacture, and commissioning of the projects ranging from pneumatic, hydraulic, lubrication, and filtration, dust suppression systems.
• (Typically, an enquiry for a system comes through to the projects department,
assigned to engineers to run with through all the stages mentioned above).
• Conduct site visits to clients ranging from mine houses, manufacturing firms and project houses for problem solving, installation and commissioning.
• The nature of work included:
This involved being responsible for fluid power products produced and supplied by Ernest Lowe Pty Ltd to customers including mines and major players in the mining sector like Metso, Outotec, Flsmidth, DRA, etc.
The products included Hydraulic power systems, pneumatic panels and dust suppression systems.
Responsibility for the entire life cycle of customer specific products, where depending on the specific needs per customer:
o Attend to customer's specific request by reviewing tender documents, brainstorm, design, and quote the system, and submit the completed tender within the specified timeframe.
- This involved using available design principles, producing manufacturing drawings
using 2D and 3D packages, using in-house stock materials and sourcing external
materials and services to quote.
- Conduct design review to monitor and ensure technical quality and conformance to all initial and updated scope of supply.
o upon order, the run the project to produce the solution.
- This includes planning and scheduling, material allocation and procurement, manage and interact with human resources from workshop, and other stake holders such as suppliers, external engineering contractors, internal and external quality control, progress monitoring, checking for compliance, testing.
o Installation and commissioning at the customer's premises, followed by ongoing product, support and maintenance.
- This includes managing site managers, contractors and in-house artisans and technicians.
o Produce and compile support operating and maintenance manuals and data books.
o Ensure and promote the achievement of SHEQ standards in all projects and other roles.
o Other responsibilities included ISO procedures and documentation set up and review.
