About
I love thinking big, creating inspiring ideas, and putting in the hard work to bring those ideas to reality. That big idea might be something small that improves your workflow, or perhaps bigger.
I am a hands-on technical designer and problem solver with expertise in CAD modeling, fabrication, and prototyping for mechanical, exhibit, and research applications. I specialize in precision design, interactive experiences, and scientific instrumentation.
My extensive background in mechanical and structural design, rapid prototyping, and fabrication workflows allows me to support projects across museum exhibits, industrial design, and high-tech research applications. I have a proven ability to develop, troubleshoot, and enhance mechanical systems, interactive experiences, and fabrication assemblies, ensuring seamless functionality and long-term reliability.
As a Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) with advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp, I am skilled in 3D modeling, technical documentation, and CNC machining, with an eye toward design for manufacturability (DFM). I deliver high-performance solutions in both commercial and research environments through collaboration with engineers, scientists, and creatives to produce innovative, functional, and efficient designs.
I excel in leading fabrication projects from concept to execution, integrating digital modeling with hands-on craftsmanship. I am passionate about leveraging technical skills, material science, and process optimization to push the boundaries of design and technology.
Creative problem-solving is a skill I honed while co-directing four international medical research trips to Kathmandu, Nepal, and Lima, Peru. As the Director of Logistics, I navigated massive logistical challenges conducting medical research in impoverished regions, following a sacred pilgrimage to a 15,000ft lake during monsoon season. These experiences and the resulting publications led me to co-found a medical device start-up based on our research in Nepal and Peru.
As a co-creator of the BioSherpa™ Specimen Transport System (STS), I led the product design of the physical component of the STS, from concept through CAD modeling, prototyping, and 3D printing production, contributing to BioSherpa’s receipt of a patent.
I am open to opportunities in technical design, experiential exhibits, science/technology innovation, and additive manufacturing.
