SME Cylinder Head Manufacturing System
Our team for SME designed and built a complete, documented manufacturing system for an aluminum cylinder head to fit a Cessna aircraft engine. This included tooling, CAM programs and fixtures to sand cast the raw part, machine it on a 4-axis CNC mill and verify machining accuracy on a CMM.
