About
I am Pavan Satishkumar Patel, a Mechanical Engineer with a Master’s degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s degree from Pandit Deendayal Energy University, India. My academic journey has been marked by a dedication to excellence, as evidenced by my GPA and status as a North American University Scholar. Professionally, I have honed a robust skill set in design, simulation, and manufacturing processes, with proficiency in tools like CATIA, Ansys, and MATLAB. My internships at Hydro North America and Arvind Advanced Materials allowed me to apply these skills in real-world settings, optimizing manufacturing techniques and designing for high-performance applications. I am passionate about leveraging technology to solve complex problems and drive advancements in mechanical engineering.

Was given a task to upgrade existing hydraulic waste machine at the plant and the idea was to make it horizontal in nature due to inherent design benefits and to produce a design that was viable and cost efficient.
• I was able to generate a full assembly of the machine upon which prototyping can be done and test run of machine can be done. Alongside CAE and DFMEA for design validation.

• Worked in sports division of Arvind AMD on carbon fiber composite badminton racket design and prototyping for professional and novice athletes.
• Performed Design validation using multiple layups to alter design performance and weight distribution (Head heavy-Balanced-Head light) using FEMAP.
• Also designed Lightweight and ergonomic molds for blow molding process to incorporate my design.
• Assisted in altering molds of Wilson Tennis rackets for optimum manufacturing efficiency, as Arvind AMD happens to be the offshore manufacturing partner for Wilson Inc.
• Was also part of other projects during my 6-month tenure with the firm which are as follows.
Programming of a 6-DOF KUKA paint robot for badminton and tennis rackets.
Time motion planning and optimization of a semi-automatic racket molding line.
Sanding process automation on a Tennis racket
