    CAD drafting and design of electrical substations, power distribution, understand NESC, NEC and IEEE standards and regulations, prepare and design general arrangement plans, sections, elevations, electrical schematics, lighting, details, cable schedule, and connection drawings to provide within a completed construction package. Provide and perform quality control reviews of designs, coordinate workload and complete work within a given time frame with limited supervision. Complete bill of materials and forecasting materials, ordering long lead materials and prepare cost estimates. In addition, I designed protection plans, calculated conductor sizing, perform load calculations etc., to accommodate the designs. Oversee projects from the initial budgeting stages, through design, coordinating delivery of materials, coordinating construction and finally putting the substation back into service.

    At TEP, I trained in Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical with the new features of SDS toolsets. I was tasked to lead the team in learning the new software, successfully complete a project in the software, convert drawings and develop new smart blocks that SDS had not yet converted or created and finally, training the overall design team to be able to use the software to continue forward in future projects using the new technology.
