About
I am a mechanical design engineer. I specialize in mold and tooling design, as well as prototype design and iteration. I have a degree in manufacturing engineering, with a focus in plastics and composites engineering.
I have hands-on experience as a composites technician that allows me to intimately understand tool design from the design, manufacturing, and end-use sides. I understand tooling applications for casting, one and two-half molds, rtm, and injection molding.
I enjoy modeling creative design solutions for unique problems and applications. I have capabilities to run stress analysis from simple load applications, to thermal simulations, as well as flow characteristics.
I understand the applications and limitations of 3D printing and how to design parts for printing, as well as recommending the ideal manufacturing environment and orientation for the part’s end-use.
