This is a challenging role as I have to work with a global team within Ford and outside Ford day to day, ensuring any changes are communicated effectively, a plan is in place and are implemented on time.
• Design Engineer Bruel & Kjaer Limited · Full-time Sep 2013 – Dec 2015 2 yrs 3 mos Royston, England, United Kingdom Lead engineer for large scale, high value customer projects to deliver vibration test systems and solutions. Ensure the solutions meet the test and design specification required by customers. These systems are used to test anything that undergoes vibration during its lifespan. Products tested range from something as small as a mobile phone up to a satellite being launched to space. The vibration systems can also be adapted to perform shock tests.
• Mechanical Design Engineer Datapaq Limited · Full-time Sep 2011 – Sep 2013 2 yrs Cambridge, England, United Kingdom Design and deliver bespoke temperature profiling systems, used in a wide range of industrial processes that involve extreme environments. The systems go through the customer’s process and are designed to house and protect a datalogger that primarily monitors temperature. The environments involve temperatures ranging from -50°C to 1350°C, vacuum, high pressure and various fluids. I have a good understanding of how materials behave in these environments which I consider when designing these systems.
