About

Hello! I'm a recent graduate looking to gain experience and develop my skills. I have experience in product design and LEAN manufacturing.

I've worked with sheet metal, milling, and turning to design everything from custom hardware to electronics enclosures. I apply DFM principles to reduce scrapped parts and cost. I thoroughly enjoy learning how things are made and strive to find the best method for each piece I design.

I have used LEAN principles to reduce waste and create JIT manufacturing environments. I have increased throughput 3X by applying these principles and analyzing the assembly process.

In all these activities I strive for transparency and open communication. Please feel free to contact me with your next project!

Experience

  • Mechanical Engineer LogiXpower · Full-time May 2020 – Present 4 yrs 7 mos Logan, UT, United States I'm responsible for all mechanical design in an R&D setting. I primarily design electronics enclosures. After product development, I help in the transition from R&D to manufacturing/assembly. Using DFM, GD&T, and LEAN principles, I reduce scrap and increase product throughput.
  • Engineer intern Williams International · Internship May 2019 – Aug 2019 3 mos Ogden, UT, United States I learned and practiced applying GD&T to tool design. I designed tools to improve manufacturing quality and speed.
  • Mechanical Engineer Intern TransChill LLC · Internship Jan 2018 – May 2019 1 yrs 4 mos Logan, UT, United States I designed tools and fixtures for the production of mobile refrigeration systems.

Education

  • Utah State University Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering 2016 – 2020 Graduated Cum Laude with a minor in computer science
